Target Tuesday

Some of my most favorite bloggers (such as the oh-so-fabulous According to Nina) have done Target Tuesday posts and I have always really enjoyed reading them. Any excuse to run to Target works for me! So I thought I'd do one myself this week. Here are some little gems I found on my most recent Target run, that lasted um.. over 2 hours... oops!

One of my good friends, M is obsessed with yellow and gray and I just knew she'd love this quilt by Dwell. Not 100% sure of the price - I think it was around $70.

I've been wanting a Jewelry tree for a while now and for $24.99 this one is a steal.

And apparently Target has really caught on to the whole "Keep Calm and Carry On" craze because they had all sorts of goodies. The Print and pillow come in lots of other colors too!

During my current pregnant state - the tray has to be my favorite item out of the bunch! It would be great with a nice big cupcake on it!

LOVING this pink and green cooler - after a little trip to get monogrammed you'd be all set! Perfect for a gift too!!

I thought this little notebook was too fun - it's small enough to fit in your purse and only $2.99!

And last but certainly not least - how darling are these Papyrus cupcake note cards? They are $14.99 and in my opinion, worth every penny!!

Have you found anything fabulous at Target recently? I'd love to hear about it!

Shower Hostess Gifts & A Giveaway!

I'm so blessed to have 7 (yes, 7) of my closest friends throwing me a baby shower next month. I am excited beyond words about this and I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I could gift to 7 people that is similar, that won't cost too much and that they will really enjoy.

And then while getting ready to order my adorable thank you notes from A Touch of Whimsy Designs it all hit me - personalized note cards! Who doesn't love a cute note card with their name on it?

These are the note cards that I'll be ordering for my thank you's. They will be blue with our little bean's name on them. These cards are also what inspired the simple & chic "onesie" cake that one of the fabulous ladies ordered for the day as well.

Here are some of the cards I will be getting for the sweet hostesses.

Aren't they just the cutest things? I am having a VERY hard time choosing between all of them!

I also need to get on it and order some of these super cute Mommy Cards? How perfect will these be for play groups?

A Touch of Whimsy has been so gracious to offer up a fabulous 15% off discount code: bbandb (This code is good starting today and ends on Sunday, May 30th.)

AS WELL AS....

Pink & Green Thursday!

Gosh, I can't believe it's already time for another one of Pink Preppy Lilly Lover's weekly Pink & Green Thursdays!

While we were on our Babymoon this past week I ran into the Lilly Jeep down at the Duck, N.C. store. I had to stop for a quick photo op. (Finally the hubs doesn't think I'm crazy, or question things like this - he just smiles and goes with it!)

Thinking that since I'm almost 7 months pregnant I couldn't possibly fit into anything from the store I stocked up on some goodies in my current favorite print "Later Gator", I have been obsessed with all things gator for the baby and was excited to pick some up for myself too!

And then... I saw it... the Petula dress in Coral Me Crazy. I cannot even tell you how obsessed I am with this dress. I really think it will cover the bump quite nicely. Too bad they didn't have it in my size (not a huge shocker once I realized it was from Resort 2009). I'm headed to my local store this weekend and if they don't have it - I'm going to have to call Lilly and have them hunt it down. Because, well, I NEED it!!

Wouldn't it be cute for my shower? Or even my birthday (which is 11 days before my due date!)?

Possibly with these fabulous strappy McKims...

Now you know you want to head on over to the Pink Preppy Lilly Lover for more Pink & Green Thursday excitement! xoxo

My First Mother's Day

So this is completely late but I definitely wanted to share my amazing day with you.

Even though our sweet little one hasn't arrived yet the hubs was super sweet to me for Mother's Day and made sure I knew how much he appreciated me for carrying our little bean. He seriously just went above and beyond and being in the emotional-third trimester state that I am- I still tear up just thinking about it!

Here is the excitement that I came downstairs to on Sunday morning.

A new (pink and green!!) hydrangea. And yes, I killed our last one and I'm still very upset about it. I thought they were supposed to be easy to take care of? Cards, a decaf frappacinno (yum!), some beads for my pandora bracelet, a trip to get a very much needed prenatal massage and amongst all of this he was making me french toast (my absolute favorite) for breakfast! Husband of the year? The baby and I say yes!!

And he wasn't done spoiling me yet... this gorgeous gem was also part of the sweetness. I have always wanted an LV and now I am officially the proud owner of a Neverfull GM! I absolutely LOVE it! Lots of my "mom friends" love this bag for when you are on the go and don't need a full diaper bag. They said that it might not be great when he's super little but I can use it as a purse until then - and once he gets older it's the perfect size to throw his essentials and mine in!

During the day we made our rounds and visted with my Mother in law, and both of the hub's grandmas. It was exhausting but both my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law got to feel the little bean kicking and moving. They were both so excited and my MIL even said it was the best Mom's day gift she had ever gotten and that completely melted my heart!!

Family time, gifts and sweet gestures aside, I absolutely cannot wait for Mother's Day next year when he's here, that will be the most amazing gift of all!

Babymoon Bound

For the next few days we will be staying here...

Spending some quality time here...

Eating some of this...

And probably some of this (amongst all sorts of other fabulous food!) ...

And indulging in some shopping here...

The last time we stayed at this resort was for our 1st wedding anniversary back in 2007. We had such an amazing time and as I was reminiscing through photos, I couldn't help but notice how much younger we look in all of them!

28 Week Update

I thought I'd go ahead and fill out one of those little pregnancy surveys to share how things have been going.

Total Weight Gained?: I've gained 26.5 lbs so far - I'm trying to be very careful not to gain too much more but I'll be honest - it's so hard!

Maternity Clothes: I am definitely having to wear maternity capris and shorts but lately I have found a ton of cute non-maternity tops and dresses that cover the bump well and I feel like I will be able to use for a while after he is here. Not to mention I feel much more stylish in a lot of them!

Stretch Marks?: Still doing great here but I'm starting to feel really, really tight. If y'all have any stretch mark cream suggestions I'll gladly take them. Right now I'm using Burts Bees Mama Bee belly balm and it seems to work pretty well!

Sleep?: Seriously? I don't feel like I can even answer this. I have been feeling fabulous all day long and then BAM as soon as I go to lay down I get weird leg and back pains. I have the Boppy Total Body Pillow and it's definitely a savior but between the pains and getting up to go to the bathroom I'm starting to forget very quickly what real sleep feels like!

Labor Signs: Thankfully, none yet!

Best Moment of the Week?: Having my Mom-in-law be able to feel him moving and shaking around on Mother's day. You would have thought I had given her the world! It was so great.

Movement? Yes, yes, yes, and lately some of it even takes my breath away! But I love feeling it and so does the hubs - it's so amazing.

Food Craving?: Um... everything please.... I have been all about cheese and crackers, strawberries, gelato, french toast. Basically - you name it - I probably would like some!

Food aversions: Nothing. At. All. Ever.

Belly Button? Can you believe it - it's still in!

What I miss? Sleep, and laying on my stomach at the beach.

What I'm looking forward to: Finishing up his nursery. I won't be posting much about it until it's 100% done - we aren't even showing our friends and family then. But I'm sure if you catch me on Twitter - you may get a few sneak peeks as to things we have bought for it.

Weekly Wisdom: From my massage therapist: relax mama. She was pretty stern with me about taking it easy - she said that it was easy for her to tell that I had been doing too much. Oops... I'm just trying to get things in order for my little sweetie!!

Milestones: Making our way into the 3rd Trimester! The baby is almost 3 lbs!! I can't believe it - it feels like just yesterday I was finding out! I can't wait to snuggle him up!

Pink & Green Thursday

I am so in love with Pink Preppy Lilly Lover's weekly Pink and Green Thursday post so I thought I'd go ahead and participate in the fun!

Here are some wonderful pink and green finds that have entered my world recently!

As you may have noticed in my prior post I am obsessed with these adorable Miss Trish for Target flats. They are so fun and cute - especially for $24.99! Every time I look down at them (over the belly, that is!) I get a huge smile!

I recieved this Market Tote from my fabulous friend, Jules for my birthday last year, and I use it all of the time. Here it is on the way to run errands this week. You can pick up one for yourself at Whitney Caroline Designs. I didn't see the exact one I have on the site but she's got LOTS of other cute pink and green fun - including this gorgeous tote!

On a recent trip to Pier One I found all sorts of cuteness!

Seriously dying over the chandelier wrapping paper!

I'm not exactly sure where this flamingo would go - maybe even on my front porch to welcome visitors? I want him!

How cute (and true) are these cocktail napkins?!?

And last, but not least - a recent trip to my favorite fro-yo place! I loved the pink yogurt (wild cherry tart!) with the green table so I had to snap a pic. I'm pretty sure at this point in my pregnancy the hubby and I are keeping this place in business!!

So head on over to the Pink Preppy Lilly Lover for more Pink & Green Thursday excitement! xoxo

Maternity Photo Shoot

A few weekends ago the hubby and I met up with the lovely Megan of Megan Garrison Photography. She is an absolute doll to work with and while it was unseasonably hot (almost 90!! at 8:30am) in May, we worked through it and I am extremely pleased with the results.

I originally wasn't going to share any of these, I've been feeling rather blah as those of us entering our third trimester sometimes do, but I figured why not? This is truly a time to treasure before our little bean arrives. I honestly just love being pregnant, every day I thank God for this little miracle in my life.

As of today we have less than 80 days until our due date!!

Hey Y'all!!

I'm back!! With a new look and a new attitude! Both of which were much needed!

I just entered the third trimester of my pregnancy and can't wait to share all of the fun and excitement with you along the way.

My gorgeous new look is thanks to the oh-so-sweet Penny Lane Designs. Head on over and take a peek - her designs are simply fabulous!

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you aren't already on one of my blog rolls - don't be alarmed. I'm still working hard to make sure that I'm getting updates from each and every one of you! I also have a fancy new button on the sidebar if you'd like to grab it - I'd be ever so grateful!!

xoxo
