10 On Tuesday

1. What's the recipe for your favorite drink? (Smoothie, alcoholic, coffee, whatever.)
Iced coffee, hazelnut syrup and a little too much half & half

2. What kind of razor do you use?
Shick Intuition - Shower time is precious - these are quick and easy

3. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?
Zoe! It's who our dog is named after. And regardless of the fact that Trey doesn't watch TV (
long story, we will start after he's 2) he is still obsessed with his tickle me elmo and the elmo song!

4. What makes the perfect salad? (Lettuce type, toppings, dressing, etc.)
Romaine, a great parm and dressing, tomatoes and a couple of croutons

5. What was your favorite subject in school?
English! I love to read.

6. What's your favorite summer tradition?
It's not a tradition, but y'all know I love some QT in the sand!

7. Do you suffer from season allergies? How do you combat them?
Oh yes, so badly. I prefer Claritin-D and my neti pot!

8. How often do you have to charge your cell phone?
Everyday, it's 2 years old and time to upgrade. HURRY UP iPHONE 5!!!

9. Do you have a bucket list?
Nope. And I'm ok with that!

10. Do you have any desire to go back to school?
Nope. None. I have my dream job!!!

Current Obsessions: Mine & Trey's

Mine:

1. Starbucks Iced Via - I know, I blab about this all of the time. But I really LOVE it. Besides snuggling with Trey it's one of my first thoughts of the morning. And I'm now stocking up for real when there is a sale because running out of coffee makes me so angry.

2. AE Summer Scarves - I was in American Eagle with this pretty lady last week and we found a ton of cute Summer scarves on sale for $9.99 I picked up the one in the picture and this one!

3. Sally Hansen Complete in Golden Ticket - I found this while I was grocery shopping yesterday and at first thought it was a very fall pumpkin-y color. I was totally wrong - it screams bronzed and beachy once it's on! I absolutely LOVE it!

4. Target Boxed Wine - no shame in my game. Mama loves wine. I love wine that's delish, doesn't break our budget and stays fresh. It's really a win all around here.

Trey's:

1. Melissa and Doug Rainbow Stacker - I bought this mainly as a decoration for his room. About a month ago he kept staring at it and trying to grab it off of a shelf and that was all she wrote. He plays with it every single day and just adores it. I recently ordered two more similar toys from Melissa and Doug since he likes this one so much.

2. Born Free Teether with Gum Massager - Recently Trey has been super uninterested in Sophie (Sadz. I know!!) but his teeth would still bother him here and there so I set off to Babies R Us to try and find him some relief. I came across this and immediately picked it up. Trey LOVES to have his teeth brushed and this gives him the same feeling but can chew on it and hold it himself. Great buy!!

3. $0.99 Target toys - these are in the back by the cookout stuff. I bought them for the pool but Trey plays with them everywhere. He LOVES them. Best $2.97 + tax I have spent in a LONG time.

4. Revolution Foods Organic Jammy Sammy in Blueberry - Mama may or may not be obsessed with these too! They are like little organic nutigrain bars! Perfect to throw in my bag and go. No red dye #40 here - these are sweetened and colored with beet juice but you could never tell. They taste so freaking good. Seriously, y'all I have to stop myself from eating them all!!

Weekend Recap: Cupcakes & Kicks

Trey and I started off Saturday morning with a trip to see Auntie Whitney at work. We got to see her in action and try out some awesome cupcakes too! Afterwards we took some time walking around and shopping near where she works.

After Trey's nap I took him to a park we had never been to before. (Fun Forrest for all of you locals!) We had an amazing time - it is such a nice park and had plently of shade and fun areas for the really little ones to play too. Trey absolutely loved it - we will definitely be going back this week!!

After nap #2 we threw Trey's new shoes on him! (Sidenote: I had the hardest time finding TOMS for this kid to try on. Finally I have found a great local boutique that carries tons of them and also some great jeans and dresses for Mama too!)

JD took a break from studying and we met up with his mom to head up to a local cupcakery to do some taste testing for Trey's first birthday.

He LOVED them!! And so did we!

We only let him have a couple bites but I have a feeling he will demolish his smash cake!!

We goofed around afterwards and went to dinner with the MIL and spent some time outside playing with Trey.

Trey's sweet Auntie M brought Trey this amazing tunnel! He is in love - we played with it forever today!! We had a super low key Sunday, JD studied and did yard work and I went to the grocery store and cleaned.

We had a perfect end to the weekend with a great dinner outside and lots of time playing with this sweet little guy!!

Cube Dog: Clever Review Series

Thank you to Cube Dog for sponsoring this review. For more information about Cube Dog please visit the Facebook page or download it on iTunes.

Y'all know how much I love my iPhone and playing with different apps so when Clever Girls offered me the opportunity to do a review on a family-friendly app called Cube Dog I jumped at the chance!

A cute little fun dog to play with and take pictures with Trey? Yes, please!

The Cube Dog app has many fun features, including:

-The ability to create your own unique cube dog by selecting various parts and colors

-Full 3D graphics with ability to rotate and zoom

-High-quality 3D animations

-Compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch 4 with camera.

I decided to name my cube dog Queso. Which is what we call Trey sometimes when he is smiling a ton and being extra "cheesey". They clearly get along swimmingly! Ha!

Queso does not like Dwight though... (Can't blame him!)

This app was surprisingly fun and great for Trey to play with once he gets older and can use my phone. I may or may not have had a TON of fun playing with Queso!

The Cube Dog app will work on the following: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3rd generation, iPod Touch 4th generation and all require iOS 4.0 or higher. The Cube Dog app is free, but you can choose to purchase additional packs, containing additional animations for $2.99 and an additional pack containing all the available parts for $.99.

You can also check out Cube Dog on Facebook for the latest updates and features.

While Cube Dog provided me with the app to review, the opinions I've expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Cube Dog, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity.

Worst Customer Service Ever: My 1st (and last) Totsy Experience

**Update: I have spoken with Manny's manager, Maggie. She called me this morning. She was nice enough (not overly amazing but ok) she added another $20 to my account. And she said she would speak to Manny. I told her that I am not upset about my order getting cancelled - things happen. I am upset about the way I was treated. She said she understood and we hung up. I really didn't have much more to say. At this point, there is nothing she can do or say to make me want to shop with them.

Let's be real - Totsy is not amazing like Zappos, Lands End or any other store that places a big focus (ANY focus really) on their customer service. I don't think they have ANY clue how bad one experience like this can effect them. I won't be spending any of our money there and I know many of you won't now either!**

Oh how I hate to sit here and write this post. But I have to. If I could stop everyone in the whole blog and twitter world from ordering from Totsy - I WOULD!

A few weeks ago I ordered a Totsy voucher from one of my favorite deal sites, Mamapedia.

I checked the site here and there and finally found something great to order - Terax shampoo and conditioner. I placed my order. Received a confirmation to my yahoo mail and waited.

And waited. And waited.

Logged back in to Totsy and looked for my order to see when it should be here. Under "My orders" nothing is showing up. So I fill out a form to have someone contact me.

And I wait. And wait.

Nothing.

Finally over the weekend I called. They are only open M-F, 9-5. Which is fine, totally normal.

So, I call back first thing this morning and get someone named Manny.

He looked up my order and states that it was "lost" and will not be filled. He lets me know that they have no way of knowing who's orders had gotten "lost" and thus why no one had contacted me. (And says this like "Uhhh of course we don't know who to contact... duh")

He says this as if it's no big deal and cannot seem to understand why I feel that this is a problem. He offers me a $5 credit for the inconvenience. (As well as a FULL REFUND and FREE SHIPPING next time - um. Woo Hoo.)

Clearly you are going to give me a FULL REFUND - I'm not getting what I ordered.

And $5? Will that even cover a tank of gas these days?

He repeatedly is interrupting me the whole time and acting as if I'm crazy. He will not listen to a word I have to say, at all. He continues to keep talking over me. He is not apologetic at all. Not one bit.

I ask that his manager calls me to discuss and we hang up.

Meanwhile we exchange e-mails and don't make any progress.

Knowing that they close at 5pm and not having heard anything by 4:30 I call back to Totsy and Manny answers. I state who I am. He says to me that it will now be tomorrow before I hear from his manager because she called in sick today. Why didn't he tell me that this morning? I waited all day to hear back! I tell him that I think $5 is unacceptable and that he is extremely rude.

He then proceeds to TELL ME that he has EXCELLENT customer service. That he has worked in customer service for years and that he is GREAT at it. He even USED to be a supervisor.

He also TELLS ME that I am UNPROFESSIONAL.

(Yes, verbatim that's what he said to me!!!!! Totsy, you need to check your call records. That's RIDICULOUS!)

Me? Um. I'm a customer. Seriously? You are telling ME that I'M unprofessional?

I say "so no one that is a manager is in that whole building to speak with me?" He then YELLS at me and says "STOP putting words in my mouth".

I realize at this point that I am getting no where. I say yes, please have your manager call me first thing tomorrow morning. And that this experience has been awful and I will be tweeting and blogging about it. And he says....

GO AHEAD. (And yes, in the worst tone ever.)

I know. I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Y'all I have had some AWESOME experiences lately - namely with Rue La La and Lands End Canvas (Handwritten thank you notes? How freaking awesome!).

And yes I have already told EVERYONE I have come into contact with about this. And I will continue to do so. I was shaking and almost in tears when I got off the phone. I don't think I have EVER been treated so badly from a "customer service" rep in my life.

So I'm sad to say Totsy will not become a part of my daily deal shopping. And I will be discouraging others from shopping with them too. It is just unacceptable to be treated this way and I want to prevent it from happening to anyone else!!

{Almost} Wordless Wednesday

Trey had his Little Gym "Big Show" on Monday! (Which is kind of like a graduation.) He is no longer a "bug" now! He is officially a "bird"!!!!

And yes, I fought back tears and a huge lump in my throat!!! I'm SO proud of him!!!

Saturday Morning Scene

This morning I'm linking up with Katie this Saturday morning to share my Saturday Morning Scene. Head over and check out what everyone else is up to and share yours!!!

Saturday Morning Scene

Someone woke up with a random scratch on his forehead this morning.

We went to get Starbucks and tried to go to the park. They had two birthday parties going on and zero parking. So we headed home for some playtime here.

Mr. Beach Bum took a break from studying to come up and see what we were getting into!

We plan on spending some quality time at the pool and just relaxing later today and tomorrow!!

I hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend!! I can't wait to come over and check out your Saturday morning scene!

Just realized that I haven't blogged since last Tuesday.

Want to know why?

Because I'm too busy playing on Pinterest.

I am literally WASTING my life away on that site.

I can't help it. It's amazing. And I love it.
