Sneak Peek: Calypso St Barth Baby Girls for Target

While I was in Target today I noticed that they already had some of the Calypso St Barth Collection for Target out on the racks!

It's a good thing for Mr Beach Bum's wallet that Trey is a boy, or I would have scooped it ALL up!!!

iPhoto Randoms: Consignment Score, Make Up Loves, Etc..

Awww how cute is Trey in his dinosaur "critter" romper... yea, that's what I thought until his Little Gym teacher told me she thought they were pot leaves at first. Um, what?

My newest obsession, quick easy delish iced coffee! (Easy to mix with my shakeology!) And Trey's latest obsession. He will pick around his puffs and only eat the yogurt melts now....

Bananas cut up and coated in puff dust are still ok though!

I have been going round and round trying to decide if I wanted to buy a walker for Trey knowing that he would only use it for a very short amount of time. Well, I hit up a consignment sale and came across this one for $20. Sold! I may sell it on Craigslist rather than storing it for the next baby. I have no clue where I am going to put all of these things!!

I ran into Ulta the other day to check this fragrance out - I love it! It's fresh and still very Philosophy-like! I wore Amazing Grace on my wedding day and will always have a soft spot for their scents!

They also had the UD Naked palette in stock. I think I'm in love, I may go back and get it this weekend!

I picked up this Smashbox artificial light (in glow) on a whim last week and was sure I'd probably end up just returning it. I don't do well with impulse buys at all. WRONG. LOVE this. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It seriously gives me perfect skin. I just mix a tad (I unscrew and dab a bit out bc the pump makes too much come out) with my MUFE foundation and I'm instantly feeling all glowy and Summer-y!

Another "thank-goodness-for-the-video-monitor" moment. Trey doesn't always make noise when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap. He now just wants to stand and look around his room. Poor little guy, he needs to learn how to say "mama come get me"!!

Before I know it he'll be driving...

Is it Friday yet?

We Love The Little Gym

Yesterday Mr. Beach Bum was off of work so that he could spend some extra time studying. During his "lunch break" he joined us for our Little Gym class.

Trey and I have been enjoying going to The Little Gym for a few months now and this is the first time that J.D. has been able to join us. I really wanted him to see all of the things that Trey does there and to meet all of Trey's friends and their Mamas too!

I don't usually get to take any pictures while we are at class since I'm chasing after Trey so it was nice to be able to bring our camera and get 168 a few pictures! I can only share the ones without other kids - but it was a great day and J.D. had a blast too!!!

Addicted to Tweeting?

I recently came across this post on one of my new favorite blogs, Little Island Studios and had a great laugh, I thought y'all would too!

You Might Be Addicted to Twitter if.....

All your friends names start with @

You refer to your friends as "tweeps."

You haven't actually met these "friends".

You lose sleep when someone stops following you. (wondering was it something I tweeted?)

You reply to all questions in 140 characters or less.

Your spouse takes one look at you in you jammies and unbrushed hair, says nicely...umm, did you go anywhere today honey. You reply...why yes, went to the zoo with @BronxZoosCobra, and went to China with @lajollamom

Your mom asks you how your new hair color came out and you reply #looklikeshrek

You remember what you were doing on the day you hit 100 followers.

You send more tweets on your phone than your teenager sends text messages on theirs.

You think in #hashtags.

Your husband asks you what you did today, you tell him about the fabulous recipe you got from @JessSeinfeld.

All the parties you've been to lately, are in front of the computer. #twitterparty

Your first thought when anything happens is, "I should tweet this."

You've told your kids/spouse/boss to "wait a minute" while you finish a tweet.

You don't think you are addicted to twitter because you don't do two of the things on this list.

Ha! Are you addicted to Twitter too?

Target Tuesday: Getting Paid to buy Formula

I'm linking up for the first time ever this week with Tara over at
Fabulous But Evil for Target Tuesdays!! I'm excited to be a new follower of Tara's and to check out what everyone else is getting at Target this week!

I'm sure I'll be back to posting about shoes, beach fun and cute baby things next week. But this week it's all about some necessities!

And yes, you read the title correctly. Target paid me $17.10 to take those bottles of Similac out of their store. No, this isn't some crazy episode of Extreme Couponing or Hoarders (15 bottles hardly counts as hoarding when you are formula feeding an 8 month old). Rather, just a mom who is trying to stretch her dollars where she can.

Here is how I did it:

15 Bottles of Similac Sensitive: On Sale for $3.86 each = $57.90
I used 15 $5 off Any Similac coupons found in the 4/3 Smart Source Insert* = -$75.00
All for a grand total of: -$17.10

*My local paper didn't have these coupons - they must have been regional. No fret - I ordered some at my favorite coupon clipping site: Coupons By Dede.

Now, Target doesn't give cash back on overage (Wal-mart does, but that place gives me hives. I hate going to Wal-mart!) so I used the extra towards some California Baby body wash, sunscreen and sunscreen stick! (Which are all on sale this week!)

I read a few articles last year on babies (anyone, really) and the harmful chemicals in sunscreen and want to make sure that I'm using something that isn't harmful to Trey. You can read more about this here.

The method dish soap was on sale for: $2.49
I used a $0.50 Target Printable (you can *stack* aka combine these with manufacturer coupons) that I combined with a $0.75 peelie that was on the Method products for a grand total of $1.24 for dish soap! I'm very particular about our dish soaps now that we have Trey and we wash all of his things and so far I have been very happy with all of Method's kitchen & bath products!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful Target Tuesday! Can't wait to take a peek at what everyone else is picking up or lusting after this week!!

Baby's First Easter Basket

I wanted to share with you some of the things that I got for Trey's first Easter basket!

I picked up these eggs for a little "Easter egg hunt" for Trey - I plan on filling them with puffs!

Y'all know how much I love baby books - so I picked up a few for Trey's basket - Peter Rabbit Snuggle Book (found at Books a Million for $1!!!), Spot's First Easter, Squishy Turtle and Friends Cloth Book - I love these since Trey wants to put everything in his mouth right now! I ordered the taggie blanket and madras outfit (and Peep shirt!) from She She Made. The basket is from Pottery Barn Kids.

This sweet little "Lenny the Lamb" is actually for a Scentsy review I am working on from Lis - but thought that he would make a great addition if you still need something to add to your Little One's first basket!

What are you filling your baby's Easter basket with this year?

Parking Wars

The hubs and I LOOOOOVE to joke and talk about people who can't park.

I mean, LOVE it. We will sit there and blab and blab about people taking up two spaces, parked over the line, not in far enough, those who take 100 points to parallel park.

You catch my drift.

We even love this site where you can give out tickets to people who are bad parkers.

Yea, well, about that....

Look what I came back to after Little Gym today...

Oops.

Saturday Morning Scene

Saturday Morning Scene

This morning I'm linking up with Loves of Life for Saturday Morning Scene! You should head over and link up too!

I'm spending this Saturday morning hanging out with this crazy one-handed bottle holder and his daddy. Nothing too exciting going on this morning! Trey's taking a nap, Mr. Beach Bum is studying and I'm about to do some laundry and dishes! Fun times, no? :)

I'm oddly really hoping for a little bit of rain to come our way this afternoon. Mama cannot handle this pollen! There isn't enough Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, etc.. in the world for me lately!

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday morning and weekend!!

Review: Yummy Spoonfuls Organic Baby Food

I was recently contacted by Yummy Spoonfuls on Twitter and asked to review a few of their products. I of course, jumped at the chance as we love to have fun with food around this house. Just take a look at my kitchen floor in the evenings...

I Trey was promptly sent a large box with dry ice full of some new foods to try out!

From the Yummy Spoonfuls site:
“Yummy Spoonfuls Baby Food is 100 % USDA Certified Organic, made from naturally good ingredients grown without chemical pesticides, nitrates, growth hormones or other unwanted extras and produced without artificial additives or processing chemicals. Our foods are not heat-treated like ALL OTHER commercial baby foods (including organic), so ours come packed full of nutrients.”

We decided to try the Organic Blueberry and Banana Cereal first.

It looked kind of funny at first but as it defrosted - the texture became super smooth. It smelled and tasted (We taste all of Trey's foods first) delicious!

Not so sure...

Hmmmm....

MORE PLEASE!!

Trey has really enjoyed testing these out. We had the organic pears this morning for breakfast and the texture is like no other pre-made baby food. It's creamy and smooth and almost a little frothy. The taste is great and I really like variety of foods they offer!!

You can purchase Yummy Spoonfuls Organic Baby Food at a variety of local stores and on Amazon!

You can also follow Yummy Spoonfuls on Twitter & Facebook!
