Commenting Challenge: Days 2 & 3

Day 2: Tell us about your blog. What do you blog about? Why do you blog? How did you start blogging? What kinds of things do you/are you willing to share with the world? Where do you find your topi inspiration? (Hint: Don't share about your social media just yet!)

I started blogging back in 2008 with a blog named: Lis Loves. I started it after months of stalking All Things G&D (still one of my most favorite blogs to date). One day I was sitting at my desk and thought, hmm I could do this too. And so it began.

I was newly-ish married without kids. So I blogged about shopping, beauty products, my dogs, food, traveling.

And then when I became pregnant with Trey I switched over to my current blog. It felt like "Lis Loves" was a season and BB&B is who I am today. A mama.

I'll be honest. I have found it extremely hard to sit down and blog on a consistent basis. I don't do it while Trey is awake. Nap time is usually reserved for cleaning or a project of sorts. And after Trey goes to bed it's time with the hubs, to go meet up with friends or I'm just plain exhausted from....well, life.

But really, those *reasons* are just excuses. Are they true? Yes.

But regardless, I need to make time for blogging. For me.

I want to document this time in my life. I want to connect more with other bloggers. I have all of these thoughts in my head and I want to "write" them down somewhere.

I've started keeping a small list in my planner and I want to put topics and inspiration I come across down on paper in hopes of them translating to the computer.

Blogging has been an amazing experience for me. Some of my real life best friends are because of it.

I have supported others and been supported. I have taught others and learned from SO many. I have grown as a person and as a mom. And watched others do the same. And you know what else? I've had fun. Emailing, commenting, or laughing all night at one of our local blogger meet ups.

It's been an awesome ride. And I'm not ready to get off.

And that is why I blog.

Day3: Our topic today is two-fold:

Tell us about your social media! Where can we find you? Link to your twitter, pinterest, Facebook, instagram, or google +. If you don't use those sites, then tell us why not!

Also, what are your favorite websites? Are there any that you check daily? What do you like about them?

Oh gosh. What a fun opening question.

Favorite thing ever? Pinterest. (Well, not more than coffee. But oddly close.)

You can find my boardshere.

I LOVE it. LOVE!

I think so often WHY WASN'T THIS AROUND WHEN I WAS GETTING MARRIED!?!? Or heck even planning Trey's nursery!

But guess what? Now it is! And there is no turning back!!

These may sum up my problem...

As far as favorite websites I'd have to say:

Hip2Save - one of my favorite deal sites. Her tagline is: Not Your Grandma's Coupon Site. It's well organized and easy to skim through to find things that I might be interested in.

Totally Target - another deal site but lots of Target finds. Because yes. I am Target obsessed.

I'm also a huge Plum District fan, they always have awesome deals! I love that they divide it up between mom deals and kids deals!

And last but not least, Amazon. I haven't bought diapers at the store since Trey was first born. It's SO much cheaper to order them, and wipes, and overnight diapers, and pail refill bags, and anything else you can name. Subscribe and save rocks my world. I did a post on awesome deals via Amazon a while ago.

Thanks so much to everyone who has stopped by from the challenge! I have enjoyed reading and commenting on all sorts of new blogs!! Thanks again Jenna for hosting!!! It's not too late to link up

Stopping by from Jenna's! I keep saying I don't know how I planned a party or shower before Pinterest. It is where I find my themes, decorations, food, and everything else!

Hi! Popping over from Jenna's Journey! I sometimes let life get in the way of my blogging. I have found posting recipes is a great way to get a post out there with out having to think.
