Ugh.
I need a swim suit. Actually I need like 3.
I've always had lots and lots of bathing suits. Even as a child. We live right near the beach and my parents have an inground swimming pool. When we were planning our honeymoon I packed no less than 2 for each day we were going to be there. A girl needs options, yo.
As a teenager and college kid I had probably 20 bathing suits at a time that fit. I'd wake up at the crack of dawn grab a water, my towel and one of my billions of bikinis and be on my way! I didn't even have to look, I'd just grab whatever and go!
I have a feeling things are going to be a little different this year with a. a baby beach bum in tow (there will be a separate post about how & what I am going to lug with me everyday) and b. (ugh) my body.
I'm starting my quest early to try and find some "mom" suits that I feel comfortable and semi-cute in! Here is what I have came up with so far!
I'm going to start with an order for this one and see how it fits, I'll let you know!
This one I actually think would be perfect for J! The name "smocked, gingham" made me immediately think of her!
I really, really love this but $150... c'mon J.Crew...

Love the selection specially the first one! I got my mom suit from J. Crew last year on super sale and it had some ruching by the mid-section area. After the baby, I need all the help that I can get.
Those look like some great options!! I really love the first one and the last one! Actually looked at that Old Navy one for myself :)
Ugh! Why did you have to remind me I have to get into a bathing suit... :( But I do love that J Crew suit. I think my husband would die if I came out in a one piece though but ummm hello my body is not the same as it used to be thats for sure!
I LOOOVE the first one!!!
No. Not yet. But, I am going to need a "momsuit" too this summer. My suit from last year was adorable and from Target (http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/mossimo-black-womens-shirred-one-piece-swimsuit--teal) but it was a one piece and I had forgotten how annoying one pieces are. I am in the market for a tankini this year! :)
Um, $150 for a swimsuit? I don't think so! I really like it though. I wish I lived close enough to the beach to go every day.
Oh the dreaded mom suit...I'm right there with ya(all40extra lbs) I was really surprised how cute some are (jcrew)
I love the "yo" reference...hahaha! We will need to do some ordering this weekend - a WM needs all the help she can get ;)
I think that JCrew one might be suuuuper flattering. I want one. Too bad it probably doesn't come in long torso.
The polka dot one is super cute too!!
I love love love that smocked one! I'm new to your blog and happy I found it!

I know what you mean. When I was a teen, I had a ton and didn’t care when I threw on. Now shopping for a bathing suit is like searching for a rare wine or something ;) The hunt never ends. I really like that first polka dot suit. The shape and navy shade are both super cute.
I have about 3 go-to suits and they’re all tankinis. One was found at Sears, another at Lands’ End and the last is from JCPenney. I would recommend all three places. The Land’s End one is really made well and has awesome coverage.
