Weekend Recap

(And no, we didn't let him have any - it was just for the picture - he had pumpkin & bananas for dessert this night!)

Friday night we had our friends over for a little celebration of Trey's 6 month birthday. It wasn't anything fancy - just pizza and ice cream cake. We had an amazing time and are just in awe that our little one is already 6 months old.

Our sweet neighbor next door stopped by and brought him this adorable beach outfit from Baby Gap. The back of the swim trunks has a shark face on it - so cute!! I died when I noticed the fin on top of his baby rash guard!

On Saturday we didn't really do much. We had Trey's Great-Grandma over for lunch and a birthday cake for the Father in law's 50th birthday. He's not really in to big celebrations so he was happy with that.

And mom fail on my part - I didn't take any pictures at all on Saturday.

We went out to a local chocolate shop that night for some snacks and a frozen hot cocoa. It's not as good as the ones at Serendipity but for being down the street - I personally think they are amazing. We ended the night by watching Dinner for Schmucks and while I said the next day that it was stupid, I meant funny-stupid because I also laughed a ton! I love Paul Rudd and Steve Carrel so I'm glad we picked it up!

On Sunday morning Mr. Beach Bum let me sleep in as part of my Valentine's Day gift. And let me tell you - it was AMAZING! I don't get up very early any day of the week thanks to Trey (he likes to sleep in too! He's definitely my baby!) but there is something awesome about knowing that you can just sleep and not worry about checking the monitor and listening for him.

Once I finally rolled out of bed it was almost time for breakfast - Mr. Beach Bum made a huge and delicious breakfast of waffles, eggs, fruit, hash browns, oj and iced coffees for our besties, who came over with Trey's girlfriend and me!

After breakfast I hung out around the house with the guys and then went to go get a pedicure with my cousin. And even though I posted about how I love to go alone it was so nice to see her, have some girl time and catch up. She and I used to hang out all of the time and recently life has just gotten in the way of that.

I came home and we just had some pasta for dinner, and exchanged gifts.

We gave Trey some boon feeding items and a new Jellycat! (We LOVE the Jellycat animals!)

After giving Trey and J.D. their gifts Trey showed up like this with a little something in a blue box for Mommy.

He even helped me unwrap it!

Inside was the Medium Elsa Peretti Initial Necklace - with a "T" for Trey!! I have been eyeing this necklace for forever! I cried like a baby when I read the sweet card. I'm so excited to wear it!!

I just love being a Mommy, Trey means the world to me!

I hope all of my sweet blog friends have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!! xoxo

Trey looks so enamored with that cake. It’s adorable and Happy 6 Months!! The pic of you giving him kisses needs to be framed immediately.

I’ve never had a frozen hot cocoa, but would love to try one, especially from Serendipity. I’ll take anything, as long as it’s good.

That is so sweet that Mr. BB let you sleep in and made a nice breakfast like that. The necklace is beautiful. I love that design from Elsa Peretti.

It sounds like the perfect weekend. I’d give about anything for a pedi right now.
